Most people confuse us with the Oriya speaking Kalinjis. Though both our caste names sound similar, we are native to Andhra Pradesh and Telugu is our mother tongue. Traditionally agriculturalists, we have moved up in society and taken to other professions. Like the Brahmins, we also wear the sacred thread.
